DINING OUT FOR LIFE -
On April 28th SisterCare Volunteers joined almost 230 other ambassadors all across western North Carolina to raise money for WNCAP. We participated as ambassadors at Two Guys Pizza & Ribs
From Harry Brown, WNCAP Special Events Advisor
"We are probably a few weeks away yet from having final figures but at this point I would “estimate” that we should exceed the $160,000 in donation for WNCAP
Thank you to all the SisterCare volunteers for your efforts for this worthy cause.

Our Newest Board Member
My name is Mary Nazario and I was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. My life that has taken me to places half way around the world and moved me from one part of the United States to another. After living this nomadic lifestyle, my daughters and I have decided to make Western North Carolina our permanent home. Even though I’m now in a permanent place I still enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I love living here and all the people that I have met, including the ladies of SisterCare. Being a new member of SisterCare allows me to give back and help others in the community. It is a blessing to be a part of this group and all they have to offer.
How to Get Started as a SisterCare Client
The Transgender Sensitivity program that SisterCare had been planning to host has been cancelled. The two events listed here are wonderful opportunities to learn more about the transgender individuals in our community and the issues that they face. These panel discussions will have a wealth of information available and an opportunity for Q & A. Both are free and open to the public.
